Edison Beach House provides accommodations with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden, and barbecue facilities. Kitchenettes feature full-size refrigerators, microwaves, stoves, and dishwashers. Each room also has a stacked washer and dryer. Emergency lighting, fire exit signs, fire alarm stations, and an escape stairway are on each floor. All suites and public areas have smoke detectors and a fire sprinkler system. A safe that accommodates most laptop computers is in every suite.
Dining and Courtyard Grill
Each suite features a full kitchen, including General Electric appliances, such as a full-size refrigerator with an ice maker, dishwasher, glass-top range with oven, and microwave. Countertop appliances, dishes, and silverware are provided. Guests can use the convenient courtyard grill. The Fort Myers Beach farmer's markets sell local goods until the end of May.
Activities and Amenities
Guests can swim in the heated Gulf front freshwater pool or relax on the beach, watching dolphins. The hotel provides accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, a garden and barbecue facilities. Jet ski tours are available to view dolphins and manatees. All outside entrance doors require guests to use their key cards for entrance to the hotel.
Beachfront Location
Edison Beach House is on the west shore of Estero Island, fronting the Gulf of Mexico. The beach is a short walk to the Times Square area. The Times Square area includes eateries, boutiques, surf shops, and a fishing pier. Edison Beach House is 25 km from Fort Myers, FL. Nearby landmarks include The Big M Casino (0.5 km), San Carlos Island (1 km), and Bowditch Point Park (1 km).
Hotel Services
Night security is on-site from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Housekeeping services are provided daily. The hotel provides daily maid services and bedding changes. The ventilation system vents air to the outside, not back into the suites. Air conditioning units are removed and cleaned every four months. The hotel uses a white bedspread and a light colored blanket which along with all linens are washed after every departure. The hotel is a non-smoking, non-vaping hotel, but smoking/vaping is allowed in the outside lanai, not in the rooms. Public areas, including hallways, are monitored through a series of cameras. Only one car is allowed per suite in the parking lot, and parking passes must always be displayed in the rear-view mirror.
