Dining in St. Augustine
St. Augustine, Ponte Vedra, and the beaches feature over 150 restaurants. These eateries serve seafood and gourmet delicacies. Visitors can find dining at resorts in Ponte Vedra Beach, cookery in the historic district of St. Augustine, or huts off Anastasia Island. The restaurants in northeast Florida provide dining for all vacation lifestyles. For example, the Raintree is an upscale restaurant in an old Victorian House that serves beef wellington and lobster.
Things to Do
St Augustine has over 60 themed attractions and historical sites that bring the Old City to life. Visitors can see contemporary adventures ancient explorers never imagined. St Augustine's attractions are features of the oldest, occupied European settlement in the continental United States. History is the primary lure, however, the original art, crafts and antiques are a major enticement for shoppers. There are also two outlet mall locations.
Site Accessibility
The Bella Bay Inn is on the second floor of a historic building in downtown St Augustine with stair access. The inn manages several other properties in the downtown historic district and beachside on Vilano Beach that have accessible rooms including roll in showers, assistive grab bars, roll under sinks, and tilted mirrors. Guests can park free in any city owned space with a handicapped license plate or hang tag. Johns County has three wheelchairs with very fat tires and plastic bearings that are specially designed to roll on the sand. Guests can request one of the wheelchairs for your visit by calling the St Johns County Beach Services Department at 904.209.0752. Beaches that allow access to four wheel drive vehicles are: St Augustine Beach, Butler Beach, Crescent Beach, Porpoise Point and Vilano Beach.
“This is an excellent choice for those wanting to explore the historic district; its location allows easy access to key attractions and dining. The suites stand out, equipped with kitchenettes that add practicality. In my opinion, it's a solid option for couples or small groups seeking a blend of comfort and convenience in St. Augustine.”
